One who Trusts in H'shem fears NO man

The alchemist, Rabbenu Bachya writes trusts no one.  He is in constant fear that someone will steal his secret or harm him.  But one who Trusts in H'shem fears NO man    As Dovid Hamelech says in Tehilim 56: 12 "I trust in GD I will not fear; what can man do to me.

Why  does the Baal Shem Tov write in his Sefer "Keter Baal Shem Tov" siman קמ"ה the most dangerous thing in our times is Anava.  How was Moshe Rabbenu able to be the most  Anav/Humble man that ever existed?  Did he not know who he was, what he was?  According to the Ramban as we learn in his letter/ Igeret that he left to his son.  A person has to know that as great as he is he could be greater.    With whatever he possesses he could be doing more and if someone else had what he has they could be better than him. This automatically takes any ego out of ourselves and our actions.   The Baal Shem Tov says, that ideology  was possible a thousand years ago at a time period where we saw greatness, the Shechina in front of our eyes.   Not today.  Today a person has to know that he is worth something and EVERYTHING he does has value.  When he makes a Bracha he creates Malachim.  When he learns Torah he hold up the world, and Chas Vishalom if he does an Averah  he damages the world.   We can understand this from a Mashal of someone who has a job selling precious diamonds, and jewels.   He knows what  he has in his hands. He know what they are worth and what he can get for them.   He also knows he does not own them and did nothing to deserve them.   The Baal Shem Tov writes, to be overly humble is the most dangerous thing today. When a person feels that he is not doing enough and he must do more and more, he will pull away from  H'shem.   He needs to feel that he is the only one in this world that can accomplish his unique task.   He needs to do everything he can to build the world, and come closer to H'shem.  How can he do this respectfully ?  He  needs to know that H'shem gave him all of his abilities and there is nothing to brag about, but he must take pride in how he and only he can mold, shape and uplift the words with what H'shem gave him.

M. Shabbat Segulah

Once, on a Motzoei Shabbos, the chasidim were sitting in the bais medrash of the Ruzhiner Rebbe zy”a for Melave Malka. Suddenly, the Rebbe opened the door of his room next to the bais medrash, stood at the entrance, and said, “The Baal Shem Tov was not a deity, and the zaida, the Magid, was not just an ordinary wagon driver. And once, when the holy Baal Shem Tov prayed, his talis fringe fell out of his gartel and dragged on the floor. The Magid approached, picked it up, and put it back in the gartel, but he was trembled with such tremendous fear that he fainted and his life was in danger. They were compelled to rouse the Baal Shem Tov from his deep dveikus in order to calm him.”  He then added, “I told you that the Baal Shem Tov was not a deity and my zaida, the Magid, was no wagon driver. Still and all, when he touched the Besht’s garment, he fainted from fear. The entire world is Hashem’s garment. How much fear must we feel to touch this world!”  May the memory of the...

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband. When it was time to deliver, she went into a cave and gave birth. It was a boy. She called him Avram. She knew if he was discovered, he would be killed. So again she called out to the wind, "Whoever is in control of the world, please save this child!" and left him in the cave. H'shem again...
