He is revered

One who trusts in H'shem is revered by the king and by the most respected of men; even the animals and stones seek to do his will.  pg  357 Daily Halacha According to basic halachah it is permitted to change the designation of pots or cutlery from meat to dairy (or vice-versa) through hagalah, since when performed correctly, it 'purges the taste" which was absorbed in the utensil .  After hagalah, the utensil is considered "new" and may be used for either meat or dairy regardless of how it was used previously. It is, however, not preferred,

He lives in fear

The alchemist, on account of his occupation, lives in fear and dread of everyone from the king to the humblest of the people.  Daily Halacha If after a woman lights Shabbat candles, she is very thirsty, she may drink some water to quench her thirst.  Some poskim hold that b'diavad she may daven Friday's Mincha even after lighting Shabbos candles.

He sustains

He who trusts in H'shem is strong in his reliance that GD will provide his sustenance according to His Will at whatever time or place He wishes, just as He sustains the fetus inside the mother's womb or the chick inside the egg where there is no access for anything to reach it from outside the bird in the air the fish in water and the tiny ant despite its weakness while the lion sometimes lacks food. Daily Halacha If, after lighting Shabbos candles, a woman realizes that she forgot to wrap a towel around the soup pot in order to retain its heat, some poskim permit her to do so, while others are more stringent.

He only prepares enough

If the Alchemist only prepares enough to meet his needs for a short while, it may well happen that when he is in dire need of it, he will be unable to produce it for lack of one or another of the necessary materials.    Daily Halacha After she lights candles, before Shekiyah, she may instruct any other person who has not yet accepted Shabbos to do anything on her behalf that is needed for Shabbos.

His spirit will not be tranquil

If the alchemist prepares a large amount, he will always be in a state of fear lest he lose it one way or another.  He will have no peace of mind, his spirit will not be tranquil because, on account of his wealth, he fears the king and the people.  Daily Halacha The poskim stress that it is highly praiseworthy for all members of the household to make every effort to begin Shabbos when the ladies light candles.  One reason being there is a Machlokes when Shabbos begins. Some hold an earlier zman than others.  Another reason is the danger of "missing the deadline" and inadvertently desecrating the Shabbos. Rav Moshe Feinstein undertook not to ride in a car after candle lighting since it appears to some people as a desecration of Shabbos.

Be prepared

The alchemist has no choice but to prepare either a large amount of gold and silver so that it is available to him when he needs it or only enough for a short while.  pg 355 Daily Halacha Shabbos begins with the lighting of candles only for the lady of the house who is lighting the Shabbos candles.  All other household members, including any girls in the house who do not light candles, are not obligated to begin observing Shabbos until sunset  or at a designated earlier time when the entire community "accepts Shabbos."

Trust no fear

The alchemist (one who can change any substance into precious metals, gold, silver. In our terms, one who has the dream job, the minimum amount of work with tremendous abundance.)  trusts his secret to no one else out of concern for his own self.  But one who trusts in H'shem fears no man; rather, he glories in Him.  Daily Halacha Not every time one separates challah over a mezonos item is one required to recite the blessing of lehafrish challah. The blessing is recited only if one has at least sixteen cups of flour in the dough.  The mezonos item is a type of food over which one would recite the ha-motzi blessing if he were to make a meal out of that seudah, and the dough is mixed with either water, wine, grape juice, olive oil, milk, or bee's honey.

Calm and tranquility

Whatever comes to him from H'shem brings him joy and gladness. He obtains his livelihood with peace of mind, calm, and tranquility.   Daily Halacha Challah is separated not only when baking bread but also when baking any dough from flour derived from the five grains.  It makes no difference whether the mixture is a thick or loose batter or whether its blessing is ha-motzi or mezonos as long as the item was baked and at least ten cups of four was used to make the dough.

He has joy

Whatever comes to the one who trusts from H'shem brings him joy and gladness pg  355 Daily Halacha The restriction to learning Tanach at night does not apply, from Thursday night till after Melaveh Malka. In addition, Yom Tov and Chold Ha-Moed nights are excluded. It is also permissible when it is learned with a group of people, and one reading from the Torah may practice at night.  When one studies Tanach with Rashi, it is considered as though he is studying the Oral Torah, which is permitted to be studied at night.

Trust in H'shem

One who trusts in Hashem is safe from harm and can rest assured that no evil will befall him. pg 355 Daily Halacha  The restriction not to study Tanach at night applies only to studying.  Pesukim, which are said for the purpose of prayer or segulos are permitted.   This includes Tehillim Tikkun Chtzos Viyten Lecha on Motza'ei Shabbos etc.

He may even die

The alchemist may even die as a result of the odors and fumes along with the incessant labor and protracted toll by day and by night. pg 355 Daily Halacha One who wants to daven on behalf of someone but does not know the mother's name should use the father's name instead. If the father's name is also unknown, then the family surname should be mentioned. A mother who davens on behalf of her child should not mention her own name instead, she should say only "my son/daughter" followed by the child's name.

He has to perfom cetain operations

The alchemist must perform certain operations and procedures without which he cannot accomplish his purpose. pg 353/355 Dailly Halacha On Rosh Chodesh, women generally refrain from "work" sewing, crocheting, and doing laundry.  Ironing, however, is permitted. Some poskim hold that using a washing machine is permitted and only washing by hand is prohibited. Others are more stringent and prohibit laundering in a washing machine as well.

He will lack nothing

"Fear GD you His consecrated ones for those who fear Him lack nothing (Tehillim 3410) pg 353 Daily Halacha The custom that women refrain from doing certain types of work on Rosh Chodesh both by day and by night is an age-old custom dating back to the days of Moshe Rabbeinu, which is recorded in the  Rishonim and Shulchan Aruch and should be upheld by all girls ad women.  Whenever possible, women should not do work on both days of Rosh Chodesh but if one cannot refrain from doing work on both days she should do her work on the first day and refrain from working on the second

It will not be witheld from him

At no time and in no place are the means of obtaining his livelihood withheld from him. pg 353 Daily Halacha A utensil must be toiveled at once. This is accomplished by placing it in a wired basket and dipping it into the water. Once in the water, it should be shifted around to ensure that the water covers every part of the utensil.

One who trust in H'shem

The Alchemist needs for his work certain materials without which he cannot accomplish anything and these materials are not available at all times and in all places.  But one who trusts in Hashem is assured of his sustenance by any one of the means available in the world. page 353 Daily Halacha The entire utensil inside and outside must be underwater, toiveled at the same time, including the handle which is connected to the utensil, parts of the utensil that do not touch food as well as parts of the utensil or handle that are made from materials which are exempt from tevilah.  Pot covers must be toiveled even though they do not touch the food. They are toiveled separately since they are not connected to the pot.  Covers and lids of utensils that do not come into contact with food and are used for storage only, like cookie jar lids or cake plate domes, are except from Tevilah altogether.

Surpassing him

One who trusts in H'shem will be like the alchemist, who knows how to turn silver into gold and copper and tin into silver through science and skill, even surpassing him.  pg 353 Daily Halacha It is not recommended to send food to another person in a utensil which has not been toiveled.  As soon as the utensil starts being filled with food by the giver it becomes a keili seudah that requires tevilah.  If one receives such an item he should transfer the food before eating.  Lining the utensil with aluminum foil or saran wrap does not except it from tevilah even if the lining completely blocks the food from touching the utensil

Tranquility

One who trusts in H'shem will have tranquility of soul peace of mind and diminished anxiety pg 353  Daily Halacha Shevat 23 Some poskim rule that dishes that have not yet been purchased may not be toiveled even if the Mikvah is in the store.  Rav Moshe Feinstein is quoted as ruling that once the customer has agreed to purchase the utensil, they may be immersed even if he has not yet paid for them, based on the fact that he intends to, so they are considered kelei seudah
