Segulah of the Noam Elimelch

The Hebrew word "chein" (the FIRST TWO LETTERS of the word "Chanukah") denotes grace. Thus 'Chanukah' could be meant to allude that the Jewish warriors found Divine 'grace' on the 25th of Kislev. (Noam Elimelech) Torah.org

Trust H'shem

The proper way of relying on GD in all these concerns is to give oneself over to the predetermined course which the Creator has set for him and let one's soul trust in GD May He be exalted pg 401

Segulah for Parnasa

"May there be peace in Your chambers serenity in Your palaces"  The words Shalom "peace" and Shalem "whole" or "unified" share the same meaning.  And the word for "your chambers" Chayal can also mean "soldiers" alluding to H'shem's army his divine host of angels which dwell in the upper worlds. Wca can therefore read the verse as "May the divine Names be unified in the upper worlds"  in order that there be "serenity in Your places  "Palaces" refers to the physical body and all the limbs with which one serves H'shem and fulfills His commandments.  Through this one will cleave to Him and unify His Name from now until eternity Amen and Amen.

As He wishes

One should not think that his livelihood depends on a particular source and that if that source were to fail there would be no other way for him to earn a living  Rather he should rely on GD for his sustenance and realize that to the Creator all means are equal   He will support him by whatever means and at any time and form whatever elements He wishes pg 397

heart and mind,

He will be rewarded for the intent of his heart and mind to perform these (occupy his mind and body with one of the means of earning a living) for GD's sake whether or not he carries out his desire.  His trust in GD will remain intact and he will not be harmed at all by the search for the means of a livelihood if in his heart and mind, he intends them for the sake of Heaven pg 397

the good and the evil

When man sanctifies and purifies himself breaking his desires for the physical world and his natural inclination toward evil then he is helped and supported and he retrieves the precious sparks from those who swallowed them   Then even the evil inclination is transformed into good and then the Taddik can serve H'shem with both his natures the good and the evil inclination.

Let him not be discouraged

Let him not be discouraged if his income is denied him on occasion rather let him trust in GD that He will provide him with his livelihood all his life.  When he is occupied in mind and body with one of the means of earning a living let his intent be to fulfill the commandment of the Creator Who has commanded man to engage in worldly means such as working the soil..make use of the other living creatures for his benefit and sustenance to build cities and prepare food to marry and be fruitful and multiply. L'ilu Nishmat H'Bat Ayen  who's Yartzeit is tonight There are many segulot for those who celebrate his Hilula by eating a seuda, going to his Kever and saying a D'var Torah in his name   Bracha V'Hatzlacha to everyone  One of the famous miracles attributed to the 'Bat Ayin' occurred in 1837 (5597 in the Hebrew calendar), during the terrible earthquake that struck the city of Safed and the surrounding area - an event that claimed many victims and led to the...

Whoever discovers within his personality

Within the nature of each animal species there is implanted a liking and desire for a certain kind of plant or animal which is ordained as its natural source of sustenance.  The configuration of its body and limbs is suited for that thing.  Similarly, you will find among human beings that different personalities and physiques are predisposed toward certain trades and occupations.  Whoever discovers within his personality and nature an attraction to a particular trade and his body is first for it and can endure its difficulty should pursue it and make it his means of earning a livelihood accepting its sweetness as well as its bitterness.

Segulah of M. Shabbat with the Noam Elimelech

Know that from the thoughts and intentions behind a mitzvah as well as the act of the mitzvah itself an angel is created with a body and soul.  If one of those ingredients is missing whether action or intention the angle will be lacking as well.  Those who wish to give but have none create the soul of the angel--they have the intention and thought but lack the action the actual performance of the mitzvah.  And those who do have money and don't wish to give it but still they give out of embarrassment have performed the action though they do not have the proper intention behind it  This action creates the body of the angel  This is one of the kindnesses of H'shem that they are both called "holy" since between them a full angel is created with a body and soul  MiPeninei Noam Elimelech Parsha Vayeitzei

Every person has a preference

Every person has a preference for a particular occupation or business over any other as H'shem has implanted within his nature love and affection for. The same is the case with other living creatures.... Within the nature of each animal species there is implanted a liking and desire for a certain kind of plant or animal which is ordained as its natural source of sustenance

Strong

A person who is strong in body but weak intellectually is suited for an occupation that demands physical exertion within the limits of what he can bear One who is weak in body but strong intellectually should not choose a physically demanding occupation but should incline toward that which is easy on the body which he will be able to sustain.

Earning a living

Having demonstrated the need for man to strive for the means of a livelihood we will now explain that not every man is obliged to explore every one of these means.  For there are many ways of earning a living.  Some of them are easy requiring little effort such as shopkeeping...Some of them entail much trouble and effort such as tanning minim working the land and plowing it and the like
