When one needs to extract water from a well, shall we say, and he harnesses a pulley to draw the water.   There is no argument that he  is pulling up the water, but can he credit himself for getting the job done.  One can use any means to "draw water" his success is completly dependent on GD's decree pg 383 Nefesh Hchaim After the Mabul Noach brought only the most pure animals for a Korban .  How did Noach know what was acceptable without having received the Torah?  He discerned which animals were rooted in holiness and those in evil and chose those rooted in Kedusha Gate One, Chapter 21, pg 68

One who chooses to trust in H'shem, but neglects His commandments relying on GD will not produce the results he hopes for.  He is referred to as a hypocrite.
