I will suffer no harm

So too when his income is very limited and does not exceed the basic minimum by even the slightest, he should reflect in his heart and say: He provided me at the start of my life with my daily food at my mother's breast according to my needs and enough to sustain me until replacing it with something better and the limited supply did not harm me in the least. In the same way, I will suffer no harm on account of the limited minimal income He now gives some to the end of my days. pg 417

Noam Elimelech

The trait of love stems from the heart; one can conjure up in the heart a love for something that can't be seen. H'shem sees all, yet is invisible to human perception, and so man must conjure up in his heart the idea of H'shem's awesome rulership, His great wonders, and splendor.  Through such meditations, man can come to great devotion and love in his heart for HashemYisbarach.  Mipeninei Noam Elimelech, 100 Parshat Vayigash.  There is a well know segulah to learn the teachings of the Noam Elimelech on M"Shabbat.  May your week be successful in Torah, Health, and Parnasa.

The way one should trust in GD

The way one should trust in GD  in regard to one's livelihood is as follows.  If it is withheld from him on occasion, he should say in his heart  The One Who withholds from me my livelihood until a certain moment and day knowing what is best for me. pg 417

He would have acquired it through other means.

Much like a man in the desert suffering from thirst who, upon finding brackish water that had gathered in a pit, greatly rejoiced and quenched his thirst with it.   When he continued a little further, he found a spring bubbling with fresh sweet water and regretted that he had drunk of the brackish water and slaked his thirst with it.  So it is with a wealthy man who acquired his wealth through certain means. If those means had not been available to him, he would have acquired it through other means. pg 417

He exalts the means and not the Cause.

One finds among those who seek wealth that one person attains all that he desires of it through the means we have mentioned, and another attains it through inheritance and the like, and each thinks that it is the means that made him acquire it that without the means he would not have attained it  Hence he exalts the means and not the Cause.  pg 415

Achievement of their desires.

Because common people, by honoring the wealthy, exhibit ignorance of what (truly) warrants honor, the Creator, (in turn), gives them more ignorance, (namely) of the means to what they desire so that all their lives they are caught up on the strenuous effort and much toil while they neglect what they are obligated to exert themselves in and pursue, i.e., fulfilling their obligations to the Creator and offering thanks for His kindnesses toward them.  The pursuit of these would no doubt be more likely to lead to the achievement of their desires.

Worthy of the Creator's Honor

It is not within the power of the wealthy to give anything to or withhold it from anyone unless GD has decreed it; they would not set their hopes on anyone besides Him and would find worthy of honor only one whom the Creator has distinguished with outstanding qualities for which he is worthy of the Creators honor.

For the love of honor

There are types of people who make the effort of acquiring great wealth only for the love of honor and to make a name for themselves so that no matter how much they have, it is not enough for them.  This is due to their ignorance of what will bring real honor in this world, and in the next, It is occasioned by their observing the deference paid to the wealthy by the common people who honor them only because they crave what they have and desire to attain what is in their possession. pg 415

What will bring real honor in this world and in the next
