75 Spiritual Counterpart

" For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts" (Yeshyahu 55:9) pg 379 Nefesh Hachaim The higher and lower worlds are controlled by the actions man performs with his Nefesh. Man’s nefesh has a spiritual nefesh counterpart in the higher realms. Gate One, chapter 19 pg 64

74 Perfect

Rabbenu Bachya brings examples from Dovid Hamelech's Pesukim in Tehillim how vast H'shem's knowledge is, completely beyond our understanding and His judgement so perfect and precise we can trust Him completely that His decisions are perfect. Nefesh Hachaim Hashem said, to prevent the entire Am Yisroel as well as each individual Jew from getting "swallowed up" by the other nations I will attach myself to them with My Great  Name. Gate One, Chapter 19 pg 64

73 A time and a place

"There is a time for everything, says Kohelet,  a moment for all concerns under the heavens" pg 377/379 Resh Lakish gives a Mashal of a King who has the single key to the palace.   The King decides to attach a chain to the key so he can always pull on the chain to retrieve it, just as the Holy one has attached his name to the Jewish people. Gate One, chapter 19 pg 64

72 Spiritual Gain

One who does not accept  GD's will for his life, in worldly matters, and on matters with no spiritual gain shows a lack of understanding of GD's knowledge and "ignorance of the beneficence of His government." pg 377 The Malachim ascending an descending the latter in Yaakov's dream is a lesson to us that our Tafkid is to uplift the physical in this world to the spiritual level, and thus the spiritual light will descent back on us in   this world Gate One, chapter 19 pg 64

71 GD determines

Trying to increase what GD has determined to be less or decrease what GD has decided should be more is contradictory to trust in GD pg377 In Yaakov's dream his vision of Angel ascending and descending the ladder explains the process of man's status According to his speech, action, and thoughts his status is elevated or decreased Gate One, Chapter 19 pg 64

70 His time

It is counterproductive to busy oneself with trying to rush what H'shem has decided is not the right time. pg 377 Nefesh Hachaim Yaakov's dream of a ladder depicts man's connection with the higher worlds. The tip starting in Shamayim the Neshama, descending towards earth and connecting with Ruach and Nefesh that connects to man here below. Gate One, Chapter 19 pg 63/64

69. Unrealistic outcome

The idea that one seed or egg can form many created things is in actuality a unrealistic possibility.  One must realize that in the seed or egg there lies no power to create a greater thing. pg377 Nefesh Hachaim When the lowest part of the soul the Nefesh is affected by sin, when he does Teshuvah it is healed and the level above it, the Ruach level lifts up the Nefesh .  So too with the Ruach level when it is afflicted by sin and one does Teshuva the Nishama level will uplift the Ruach. Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 63

68. Impossible numbers

Can anyone be blinded by nature when "A single grain of wheat can produce ten thousand grains".  How can one not see the impossibility in those numbers and not recognize the hand of GD. pg 377 Nefesh Hachaim The Neshama is never effected by sin.  If one sins he hurts himself by causing the  sparks of the Neshama to disappear. Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 62

67 Too weak

Any "natural cause" would be too"weak and insignificant to bring about change or transformation in the essence of things." pg 377  Nefesh Hachaim If one's Ruach element of his soul was blemished and tainted say by Lashon Harah he can do Teshuvah and thus repair the damage and reconnect the  Ruach element of his soul to the higher Worlds. Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 62

66 .Change and Transformation

One that does not understand the true mechanics of the world assumes that when there is change or transformation in the world it is caused by something new that has just been created. pg377 Nefesh Hachaim   The punishment of Kareis is the soul being cut off ( Chas Vishalom) from it's root in the higher worlds, by the “cord” that connects one to the higher worlds being severed.   In GD's endless mercy he decreed that the last of the 10 stages, the highest, will never be disconnected.   Through real Teshuvah one can reconnect all 9 other stages of the soul’s connection. Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 61

65 The cause is GD

Everything created has a seemingly natural cause but don't be fooled.   GD has decreed what will acure from the moment of its creation and although it looks as though it is taking a natural or sometimes unnatural path it is all Divinely controlled.  pg 377 Nefesh Hachaim According to the degree of devotion, dedication and love for Torah and Tefilah ones soul can reach heights of "clinging to the bond of life, to GD Himself so to speak"   Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 61

64 He determins

Everything is decreed by GD and can not be changed.  He determins the "quantity, quality, time and place" pg 377 The way H’shem created the three elements of the soul, that each is connected to the other, allows one to gradually rise higher in his spiritual growth. Gate One, Chapter 18 pg 61,62 לעילוי נשמת יששכר דוב בן אברהם אבא ונאוה (ב' סיון)

63 What you have not what you wanted

Everything created in this world has limitations.   pg377 "The Jewish people are connected to GD through the three elements of the soul like a rope that is moored in Heaven above and is lowered down to the physical world Gate One,   Chapter 17 pg 61
