96 There is a reason

Rabbenu Bachya teaches that sometimes a righteous man who trusts in H'shem may hit hard times.    We accept “H'sehms ways are hidden” even so, Rabbenu gives us a number of possible explanations: ·          Punishment for past Averos ·          The wealth will better serve him in   Olam H'Emet ·          His patience and trust may give strength to others seeing him go through hard times and continuing on the correct path of Torah and trust in H’shem (such as Iyov).   This is a stark contrast to the way one who is not serving H'shem with intent would react in difficult times         pg 389/391  [ Nefesh Hachaim The “Torah is not in Heaven” comes to teach us that no one today may change a law, or practice from the Torah even if one would hear a “Heavenly voice” call out from Shamayim.   Chankuk...

95 The ways of H'shem are hidden

"The reason for the trial of each one of the saints and prosperity in this world of  the wicked differs form that of the other." Moshe Rabbenu commented, there are those things that are the ways of H'shem and hidden from man.  Concluding that His judgment is perfect and we must trust in that.  Our job is to follow the correct path and trust in his decisions. pg 387/389 Nefesh Hachaim   H'shem gave permission to a Navi to temporally change Halacha such as Eliyahu on Har H'Carmel, even when it seemed to be violating a Mitzvah.  The Navi was not allowed to permanently change the law only temporally under certain circumstances.   Gate One, Chapter 22 page 71& 72

94 As He says

Out of Gd's mercy so that one does not sit and wonder about things that will only confuse him and not help his such as :"What was GD's plan?  How exactly did it come to be?"  He occupies him with this world.   On the other hand if man proves himself to GD that he will not rebel, get lazy, act irresponsibly when given the leisure time his livelihood will come with ease and not with struggle. pg387 Nefesh Hachayim The true deep reasons behind the Mitzvot were revealed to no other than Adam before the sin.  As Yeshaya told Chizkiya, he can not make his own accounting  of the commandments, he must listen to the Torah because that is what GD commanded him to do.
