H'shem is the source

One should not think that his livelihood depends on a particular source and that if that source were to fail there would be no other way for him to earn a living. For in the eyes of GD all means are equal. pg 3

For the Sake of Heaven

Man's trust in GD will remain intact, and he will not be harmed at all by the search for the means of a livelihood if in his heart and mind he intends them for the sake of Heaven. pg 397

The right intention

Man will be rewarded for the intent of his heart and mind to perform these(to engage in worldly means and to earn a living with the intent to fulfill the commandment)  for GD's sake whether or not he carries out his desire. pg 397

He commanded man to make use of this world

The Creator has commanded man to engage in worldly means such s working the soil, plowing, and sowing it. He is commanded to make use of the other living creatures for his benefit and sustenance to build cities and prepare food to marry, be fruitful and multiply 397

In Gd's eyes it is all equal

One should rely on GD for his sustenance and realize that to the Creator, all the means (of earning a livelihood) are equal. pg 397

Serve Him

When one is occupied in mind and body with one of the means of earning a living, let his intent be to fulfill the commandment of the Creator. pg 395

Trust, just Trust

Let one not be discouraged if his income is denied him on occasion; rather, let him trust in GD that He will provide him with his livelihood all his life pg 395

Accept the sweeness as well as its bitterness

Whoever discovers within his personality and nature an attraction to a particular trade and his body is fit for it and can endure its difficulty should pursue it and make it his means of earning a livelihood accepting its sweetness as well as its bitterness.

You have what you need

We find among human beings that different personalities and physiques are predisposed toward certain trades and occupations. pg 395

You have what you need

Within the nature of each animal species, there is implanted a liking and desire for a certain kind of plant and animal which is ordained as its natural source of sustenance   The configuration of its body and limbs is suited for that thing   On the other hand animals whose sustenance comes from plant life are not provided with the tools of the hunt and prey. pg 395

H'shem gave each living being what it needs

H'shem has implanted within the cat the instinct to catch mice, within the hawk the instinct to hunt the birds that are fit for it, and within the deer the instinct to hunt snakes. pg 395

Serve H'shem with what He gave you

Every person has a preference for a particulate occupation or business over any other, as GD has implanted within his natural love and affection for it.  pg395

Do what you can

One who is weak in body but strong intellectually should not choose a physically demanding occupation but should incline toward that which is easy on his body, which he will be able to sustain. pg 395

Who you are is who you were meant to be

Not every man is obligated to explore every one of the means of finding a livelihood.   For there are many ways of earning a living. Some of them are easy requiring little effort shopkeeping, and light handcrafts. Some entail much trouble and effort like mining carrying heavy burdens, setting out on long journeys working the land, and the like.   A person who is strong in body but weak intellectually is suited for an occupation that demands physical exertion within the limits of what he can bear. pg 393
