93 Don't rebel

The second reason GD commanded man to exert effort is so he does not become lazy, greedy, and haughty and rebel against GD.   That is why it says in Avos 2:2 " Excellent is the study of Torah together with worldly occupation, for labor at both puts sin out of mind and all Torah without work will in the end be neglected and occasion sin. Chas Vishalom the danger of one who is not busy with either. pg 387 Nefesh Hachaim In Melachim we learn that Chizkiyahu was held accountable being sentenced to die in this world and to have no share in the World to Come for the reason that he chose not to marry and have children knowing through Ruach Hakodesh they would be evil and cause damage to this world.   This is an example of one trying to use his foreknowledge to manipulate the world when his obligation was to follow the Torah's command to marry and have children.   Gate One, Chapter 22, pg 70

92 The effort one must exert

The reason GD has instructed man to exert effort Rabbenu Bachya teaches us, is for two reasons.   One is to test our honestly, loyalty, and trust.  Will we be honest and know H'shem is the one behind our earnings?  Will we cut corners, take what does not belong to us Chas Vishalom. Would we steel time from our employer in an effort to make more money?  Man's effort will not produce any other desired result other then what GD has intended for him.  One will be judged for his intent on how to serve Him. pg 385 Nefesh Hachaim   The last words in the Torah: “No other prophet like Moshe has arisen in Yisrael" is a decisive statement that after the Torah was given to Am Yisroel at Har Sinia it can no longer be changed based on ones understandings or feelings. The posuck is proclaiming that no other "Prophet" can add or change anything to the Torah.   Gate One, Chapter 22, pg 69

91 Necessary steps

There are necessary steps everyone must take in order to accomplish a task.   For example,   picking up food to put it one’s mouth to abate his hunger.   GD has determined through his infinite wisdom the amount of effort one must take to accomplish a task on an individual basis.   For example one who is supported does not have to work while one who has no one to support him does.   All of these conditions are perfectly selected for that individuals Tafkid in this world and not coincidence, pg 385 Nefesh Hachaim Yaakov’s decision to marry two sisters was based on Ruach Hakodesh understanding that they would be the mothers of the 12 tribes.   Amram married his Aunt Yocheved knowing as well through Ruach Hakodesh that she would be the mother of Moshe.   Had the Torah been given to them even if they would have known these details they would not have been allowed to marry them, one of the reason the Torah was not given in that time.
