The key is trust, for if he has trust he will have "peace of mind and tranquility" even if he only receives the bare minimum. He will understand that no one can increase his portion or take from it. His trust will insure he receives his lot at the right time without delay.

Punishment is a reaction to sin as a "cause and effect" not Chas V''Shalom an "act of revenge". H'shem's "complacency and compassion" cannot change the fact that a sin must be cleansed by punishment or Teshuvah as a result of the "stain the tuma" has left on the higher worlds.

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is.
