There are necessary steps everyone must take in order to accomplish a task. For example, picking up food to put it one’s mouth to abate his hunger. GD has determined through his infinite wisdom the amount of effort one must take to accomplish a task on an individual basis. For example one who is supported does not have to work while one who has no one to support him does. All of these conditions are perfectly selected for that individuals Tafkid in this world and not coincidence,

Nefesh Hachaim

Yaakov’s decision to marry two sisters was based on Ruach Hakodesh understanding that they would be the mothers of the 12 tribes. Amram married his Aunt Yocheved knowing as well through Ruach Hakodesh that she would be the mother of Moshe. Had the Torah been given to them even if they would have known these details they would not have been allowed to marry them, one of the reason the Torah was not given in that time.

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband.
