In religious life the benefit of Bitachon will be tranquility of the soul such as a servant would relies on his master. Rabbenu Bachya puts if very clearly, If a person in not putting his trust in H'sashem for example worrying, arranging, controlling, he is putting his trust in something other then. Such as his abilities, connection, resources. If he does this Rabbenu Bachya warns him, H'shem will take away his divine providence and leave him in the hands of what he trusts.

In Parshat Bereishis 1:27 we learn that man was made in "GD's image" Rav Volozhin explains that we have no understanding what this means since GD has no image and the verse should not be taken literally. We likewise have no knowledge of what Chazal were referring to when they described "Demus" and "Tzelem" as they are similar to each other but we can not understand their intention.

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband.
