The moment Yom Kippur is depending on.

Hodu L'H'shem Ki Tov, that we made it through to another year to another Yom Kippur. What! Looking forward to another Yom Kippur? Yes. If we would understand what an incredible Chesed it is that H'shem gave us to shed all the Averos all the baggage of the last year we would rejoice and count every second till it arrives. Remember you get to stand in front of your Creator who knows you, loves you, created you. He is routing for your success and your desire to come close to him. When you get that feeling on Yom Kippur, "H'shem I love you, I want to come close to you. I am sorry I acted in a way that put a barrier between us instead of grew us closer together." That is your moment That is the moment all of Yom Kippur is depending in. Go with that feeling draw closer. He is waiting for you.

M. Shabbat Segulah

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband. When it was time to deliver, she went into a cave and gave birth. It was a boy. She called him Avram. She knew if he was discovered, he would be killed.
