"How did he make all his money?"

Have you ever heard this saying "How did he make all his money??" or "How did he lose everything???" If someone were to actually answer that question to explain why and not just give facts (which might fall under the category of Loshon Hara) he may very well be considered a Kofer someone who is denying the existence of GD as though a series of events could control someones's gains and loses and not GD. Rabbenu Bachua writes, "If a man fails to secure a livelihood by the means he has employed, the reason may be that he already has in his possession provisions for that day, or that it will come to him through other means." At all times, in every situation and at every moment you must be aware that H'shem is completely running the show and arranging, organizing and orchestrating the events in your life for your pleasure and benefit as only the Creator of the world knows how.

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband.
