I have seen the righteous suffer

Rabbenu Bachya is now going to discuss one of the biggest questions in our history. " The trial of the Tzadikim and the prosperity of the wicked" There are many comments on this topic through out Tanach with no one conclusive or definitive answer. All commentaries come to one basic stance, as said by Moshe Rabbenu "The ways of H'shem are hidden". In that one sentence though lies all the truths. If we accomplish what we are setting out to do on this blog, then we trust that H'shem is controlling the world and that He knows what he is doing. I know, ...but "I don't want to be tested" "I don't want struggle" "I want calm, nice, easy, happy, wealthy, healthy...." The answer is "The Ways Of H'shem". Yes with the correct amount of Teshuvah, Tefilla, Tzedaka, Emuna, Simcha you can get your hearts desire. Do you trust though that H'shem knows what you really need? Emuna and Bitachon is NOT ABOUT GETTING WHAT YOU WANT in this world. It is about finding the Creator and Trusting Him. I wish for every single one of us Parnassa, Bracha, Simcha, Nachas, Briyut, Sheffa. I also wish that during the times when H'shem is pushing us just a little harder to the next level we Love Him, Trust Him, See Him, Believe in Him and are Happy with His decisions just as much as when we get what we want.

Once, on a Motzoei Shabbos, the chasidim were sitting in the bais medrash of the Ruzhiner Rebbe zy”a for Melave Malka. The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband. When it was time to deliver, she went into a cave and gave birth. It was a boy. She called him Avram. She knew if he was discovered, he would be killed.
