Rabbenu Bachya breaks down in to 5 comprehensions what would bring a person to completely Trust in H'shem:
The First: The 7 attributes that we have just finished reviewing and learning at length are all found in the Master of the Universe and NO ONE ELSE.
The first being that H'shem is THE MOST compassionate being in the entire Universe and beyond. When you see someone who is acting with compaction and generosity know that it is because he has connected himself to THE source and it is really coming from H'shem.

M. Shabbat Segulah

The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is.
