For fear of his secret "getting out" the alchemist must move around often. "He who trusts in GD is secure in his country, and has peace of mind in his place".

Rav Schwalb explains the Sin of the meraglim was that they looked at Eretz Yiroel with their physical eyes. If they would have had spiritual sensitivities they would have noticed the holiness all around them. They could have seen the sparks of holiness of the forefathers in Chevron but, instead they only saw the giants. If they had noticed the holiness they could have ignited a spark in the rest of Klal Yisroel and given the momentum for everybody to go to Eretz Israel enthusiastically. They saw physical places and people and they did not see areas for spiritual growth. Therefore, for generations we place in Eicha the mouth before the eyes because this is the root of the destruction of the temple. If one ceases to see the holiness of the land and only sees its physicality, it leads to desolation. Let it be the will of Hashem, that our vision should change to enable us to see the ultimate holiness of Eretz Israel with the return of the Beis Hamikdash.

Once, on a Motzoei Shabbos, the chasidim were sitting in the bais medrash of the Ruzhiner Rebbe zy”a for Melave Malka. The Segulah and the promise of saying Avraham's mother's name

There is a well-known segulah from the Kaf HaChaim citing HaRav Refael Abuchatzera that one who says Avraham Avinu's mother's name אמתלאי בת כרנבו (Amtlai bat Karnevo) 17 times before Oseh Shalom in Shmoneh Esrei is promised they will have chen and will be protected. When Amtlai found out she was pregnant, Nimrod had made a gezeirah that all baby boys were to be killed right after birth, since his advisors had told him a boy would be born who would show the world who the real GD is. Not knowing what to do, she called out: "Whoever the GD of the world is, if this is a boy, save him!" H'shem helped her hide her pregnancy from everyone, including Terach, her husband. When it was time to deliver, she went into a cave and gave birth. It was a boy. She called him Avram. She knew if he was discovered, he would be killed.
